MS Therapy Centre Event

A fund-raising event was held in the Village Hall last Saturday organised by host and compere, John Miller, on behalf of the West of England MS Therapy Centre. Thirty-three attended and took part in the game known as "Kubb" ... Link. £500 were raised. Kerry Sawyer and Sharon Sassada delivered an excellent supper at half time. StreetCare will start filling in potholes in Upper & Lower Streets, Doynton Lane & Feltham Road on Tuesday 8th January 2019. End date, 1st March 2019 at the most. Work will be done between 8 am & 5 pm. Some disturbance to traffic may occur.

Dyrham Contamination

The water in the ditch running down Lower Street has been polluted with a large quantity of what smells and appears to be oil. The origin of the oil is uncertain, but extends from approximately the level of the Triangle. Hinton Robbery

Two attempts have been made to deprive a Hinton resident of his property. Yesterday, he surprised two youths trying to steal from his shed. They escaped in a small white van with a power washer. Today they returned with a bigger van to steal the other contents but this time another resident got their details. The police have been informed. Watch out everyone, especially your garden shed. NB still a low crime area.
